MY STORY

HOW TO GET TO GEHRING?

Through the KieWis project at the Lindenschule, I became aware of Gehring. Gehring has been cooperating with the Lindenschule and the Wissensfabrik for many years. Already at the project festival I could introduce myself to Mr. Siegert. This was followed by an internship and ultimately my training as an industrial mechanic.

WHAT ARE MY FUNCTIONS AT GEHRING?

After gaining basic knowledge at the GARP during the first year of apprenticeship, I am employed daily in the training workshop on turning, milling, drilling or grinding machines. Both parts for the production as well as training parts are manufactured. This includes, for example, the KieWis project of the Wissensfabrik, in which, together with pupils, a vehicle is made of aluminum.

WHAT IS SPECIAL ABOUT GEHRING?

Gehring is the market leader for honing machines. Already as apprentice we are allowed to work on top machines in order to be optimally prepared for our future. Gehring attaches particular importance to social togetherness and allows the trainees to strengthen this team spirit through many excursions.

WHY WOULD I WORK WITH GEHRING?

The daily cooperation with Mr. Siegert and the other trainees makes me very happy. A special incentive for me is that the parts we manufacture are also used in our machines.
