MY STORY
Development in Working Life?
After achieving my secondary school certificate, I became acquainted with Gehring at the career convention in Esslingen. After getting into conversation with the training managers, I knew that the three-and-a-half-year apprenticeship as an electronics technician for operation technology will be the right thing for me.
WHY WORKING AS A SERVICE TECHNICIAN AT GEHRING?
For me, working as a service technician means, accomplishing exciting tasks every day. During my apprenticeship, I received an extensive electric grounding and an insight in the full electric processes, also in those, which exceed my jurisdiction. You are challenged and supported. Moreover, Gehring offers great support in the form of further education and courses of study.
WHAT IS MY TALK AT GEHRING?
I do like my tasks as a service technician because they are diverse and demanding. My agitations mainly consist of supporting the technical service. I am responsible for the preparation of material as well as for the mounting and commissioning of customized devices, for example the Gehring Connection Box.
WHAT IS PARTICULAR TO GEHRING?
Gehring is a middle-sized company, a familiar atmosphere prevails among the employees, where you feel comfortable and working makes fun. Due to the special engineering, there are also special challenges making my work very varied. It won’t be boring!
WHY WOULD I WORK WITH GEHRING?
Gehring is a local, well-known company serving a niche market. The company really cares about the employees and there are many collective events, like the summer party for instance. Also during the apprenticeship, we did much in common. For the future, I see many further training opportunities, for example a dual study in electrical engineering.
