Gehring Core is the new IoT customer platform, with which users receive individually processed data from their machines. This allows them to take advantage of transparent manufacturing. Also, very specific production analysis and optimization measures become possible.
Every new Gehring machine is now delivered with the basic version of the core software, older machines can be retrofitted. This means that you can call up a digital image of your machines online at any time, because the Core enables you to call up and analyse production data in real time.
With this production data, the program creates graphical evaluations, for example, which can be used to identify possible trends, for example if quality characteristics of the parts deteriorate. This enables early countermeasures to be taken in order to minimize the reject rate or to prevent a machine failure. As a purely passive program that only receives and analyzes data, it has no possibility whatsoever to intervene in the function of a machine.
If there is a malfunction of the machine or a failure due to a defective part, the machine transmits this malfunction to Core through its continuous data exchange. Both the user and the Gehring service team immediately know what exactly happened and can search for the cause of the error with the support of the software. With the help of the spare parts shop, integrated in Core and individually matched to the machine, the worn parts can be ordered directly online and replaced within a short time.
Core is primarily a cloud-based application, enabling global, location-independent data access. Gehring uses the Microsoft Azure Cloud, all Microsoft security standards protect the data. The data transfer from the machine to the cloud is completely encrypted.
