Gehring Technology Day!

On April 21st 2016, we look forward to networking with our customers, and providing an in depth focus on our advanced honing technology solutions as well as a tour of our R& D facility in Livonia, Michigan. The classroom technical sessions as well as networking breakfast and lunch will take place at Schoolcraft College, VisTaTech Center, Rennolds Room-VT425, 18600 Haggerty Road, Livonia, MI 48152.

More than 50 guests attended the event where honing experts Dr. Andreas Wiens and Michael Schaefer delivered formal presentations on form honing and laser structuring and their advantages in combustion engine surface finishing and their role in emissions reductions. Following the speakers’ presentations and intensive Q & A sessions and a networking lunch, Gehring R & D Director Michael Schaefer commenced a guided tour of Gehring’s 12,000 sq. ft. Facility including live demo form honing demonstrations. This is the nerve center of Gehring’s R & D operations and allows Gehring to provide contract and prototype honing services as well as advanced honing technology consulting at an exceptional level. The Technology Day reinforces Gehring’s business philosophy of educating our customers on our advanced technologies and their implementation in production scenarios as well as complete customer support.
